Digital concept sketches for my Spiderman character, Buggy Reed. On the right, there are two fullbodies shown, one with his full suit on (including backpack and hoodie, because he's a college student) and one without. There are two waist-up views too showcasing the spider symbol on the back. On the left, there is a short 3-panel comic of Buggy and his world's Doc Ock. In the first, Buggy's mask has been removed and he's held in one of Ock's metal arms. He looks distressed, saying 'hey man ive got a final in like an hour can we. finish another time?'. In the next panel, Ock looks contemplative. In the final, he says 'yeah ok' with a thumbs up emoji in his dialogue. Buggy has a nervous dialogue bubble and a tiny, equally nervous doodle of his face, saying 'tysm omg'. There is also some text with ideas thhat were included in the reference sheet, accessible through the navigation section on this page.

A video timelapse of my digital artwork 'idea jail', from sketch to color and rendering.

A sketchdump with some (at the time) new ideas for Viktor Ochenko, his personality, and how his powers work. There is a doodle of him, colored pinnk with a green aurora, floating in the air, looking panicked, and shouting 'SHIT'. Another doodle is of him looking smugly at his brother. There's a rough digital painting with him looking scared at the viewer, green energy engulfing him. A bust view of him shows experimentation with his facial features. There's a chibi fullbody of him with a labcoat. One doodle, with a box outline, shows him in the bedroom of a house he just moved into, captioned with 'in my girlboss era' with a heart. Just below that, his brother is shown thinking 'What the hell are you doing in such a shithole'. Another shows Viktor as the autism creature. There's a very tiy space-filling Viktor with hearts around him. the last doodle is of Viktor, teary-eyed and feeling loved, with his cat bumping her head on his chin and his mouse on his leg.

A sketchdump of a fanmade Slime Rancher slime called a thunder slime, modelled after the at-the-time newly introduced weather event. The slime looks similar to stormclouds, with swirls along its bottom and two grey wings. There is a doodle of it irritated and darker-colored, jumping up into the air and creating clouds, and then slamming into the ground creating a loud explosion. It looks dizzy after. At the bottom, it is shown that the thunder slime and the puddle slime get along.

A video timelapse of my digital painting 'when did it get to be 12am....' from sketch to blocking to painting.

A cocnept page for three variations of a fanmade Slime Rancher slime referred to as 'mimic slimes', inspired by glitch slimes. The first is grey with a mossy patch on top and a pink flower. It disguises itself as rocks in areas that have them. It's noted that it 'only produces plorts from 6AM to 6PM'. The next two are inspired by different tree variations in the Powderfall Bluffs. The first is an orange slime with white spots and a brown root coming out of its head. When it disguises itself, it jumps and flips over onto its root. Its note says 'Only produces plorts on garden plots. No largo!' The last one is designed after aurora trees. It disguises itself by dissipating into the shape of a tree. Its note says 'Only produces plorts at night'. There is a note at the bottom that says 'urgh why are these so hard' (about the aurora slime).

A WIP show of a digital painting I never liked enough to finish, with relatively complete perspective and color blocking. It shows what looks to be an endless school hallway that's been flooded with really gross-looking pool water. At the end of the hall is a bright light. There is an entrance to another hall to the right that leads somewhere dark. Floating along in one of those donut-shaped floats is my character Tobias, apparently sleeping.

A concept animation of Viktor with a nondescript science vial and pot of coffee, for an animation final. In the animation, Viktor looks exhausted, and takes a vial of something, drinks it, sets it down and leaves off-screen. Thehn he rushes back on-screen, looking panicked, and looks at the vial he just drank from, realisation strikes, and the word 'despair' appears over his head.

A timelapse video of a digital painting I did of my CRT TV. For most of the video, there is a photo of the TV on the left, the actual painting to the right of the photo, a sketch to the right of that with an ugly glitch effect, and some reference images of glitchy TVs along the bottom.

A WIP animation of Viktor for an animation final. Everything is sketchy and incomplete, with only the important movements drawn in. Viktor, currently unrecogniseable, is at his desk with his head in his hand, asleep. Slowly, he slumps forward and his face slams into his desk, waking him up. There is a sketched cat in the foreground.

A timelapse video of a digital painting I did of an amusement park ride in perspective. It starts by editing a photo I took to remove a booth for a more interesting composition, then the actual painting begins with a rough sketch, color blocking, and some added effects. Occasionnally sections of the photo are moved over to reference them more easily.

A timelapse video of my digital painting 'breakup'. It starts withh a sketch that is slowly refined in greyscale until it is eventually toned in sepia.

A timelapse video of the design refinement process for Lazarus, a blue morpho butterfly furry. It starts with an analog pencil sketch that is refinend a few times in digital before doing some clean lineart, and coloring. He is given a title at the end, 'morpho menelaus' and 'blue morpho butterfly', but Lazarus is actually a morpho peleides butterfly. I had accidentally referenced peleides wings and couldn't be bothered to redo them.

A clean digital concept for the first in a series of prints I was going to make, 'DEAD'. This one appears as a family portrait, with parents situated behind their two children (one boy, one girl). The father, wearing priest garb, looks tiredly at the viewer, hands on the boy's shoulders. The mother has a look of pure disgust, hand against her cheek, gazing down at the girl. The boy looks at the viewer, hands behind his back and posture perfect, like his father. The girl looks at the boy, wearing a similar expression as her mother, leaning away from him with her arms crossed. For further context, the boy is Edwin, and the girl would later become Viktor (this was pre-transition). On the right, in neon green, is the word 'Delta'.

A clean digital concept for the second in a series of prints I was going to make, 'DEAD'. Here, the kids from the first print have aged up a bit, roughly mid-teens age. Edwin is shown in the background, laying a lily on their parents grave. Viktor, meanwhile, is in the foreground, looking angrily off-screen and leaning against the cemetary sign. There are trees and graves littered across the landscape. On the left, in neon green, is the word 'Echo'.

A clean digital concept for the third in a series of prints I was going to make, 'DEAD'. This one is much more grotesque than the first two. It shows a hand grasping a flask with a mysterious liquid inside. The wrist of the hand has been surgically cut open, showcasing the sinews and muscles beneath the skin. The flask has swirling reds, orannges, greens, and blacks. There is a green and red halo thing around them. On the right, in neon green, is the word 'Alpha'.

A clean digital concept for the fourth in a series of prints I was going to make, 'DEAD'. In a continuation of the previous 'Alpha' print, showcasing an adult Viktor, fully transitioned and shirtless, looking to be in horrific pain. There is a y-incision across his torso, half of it torn open to show the sinew and muscles underneath, but the other half is being grabbed and torn by his hand. Under the wounds, one of his hands is clenched. He's bleeding everywhere with green substance leaking from his mouth and travelling through his veins. There is a green and red halo behind his head, with various cyan and magneta cutlery placed equally around its radius, connected by bolts of electricity. On the left, in neon green, is the word 'Delta'.

A timelapse video of the design refinement process for Rosy, a rosy maple moth furry. It starts with an analog pencil sketch that is directly refined in clean linework. Rosy is colored in, but there's a hiccup with her wings' rendering (referenced the wrong wings) before it's swiftly corrected. Over her head is the title 'Dryocampa rubicunda' and 'rosy maple moth'.

An analog pencil sketch with some messy penwork of what would later become my screenprint 'its my own fault, tbh'. Many details were not dignified with clear linework and many pencil marks were not thoroughly erased.

A timelapse video for the digital painting 'you never were a monster. you just thought you were.' from sketch to color blocking to finish. At the end I realise I forgot Viktor's white streaks in hihs hair and quickly add them with layer effects.

A clean digital mockup of the first in a series of Nathan prints I had planned. It was a 3 color print, with just black, blue, and gold. The black layer was a screentone that would act as the values. Nathan is shown in his angel form, looking tired, holding his handcuffed hads together. His shirt is blue, skin gold. Black hands reach down as if to strangle him. There is gold text on the top reading 'They wanted a divine being,' and it continues on the bottom, 'so I gave them one', which is also the title.
A clean digital mockup of the third in a serious of Nathan prints I had planned. This print would have been a 7 layer print, with CMYK and 3 additional color layers. Nathan is depicted with one hand on his hip, waving at the viewer with a pleasant, but empty smile. Behind him is a line-only version of him, without his hands or eyes. One is blue, the other purple. There is a yellow circle behind the main Nathan's head.

A clean digital mockup of the third in a serious of Nathan prints I had planned. It was a 3 color print, featuring the colors purple, gold, and black. Nathan is depicted in a demon-esque form, seemingly attempting to strangle himself. There is a dark shadow over his face, but even on what is visible, his facial features are distinctly missing, save his nose. There are several feathery wings atop his head. His shirt is purple, which is his favourite color. In thhe background, repeating for the entirety of the canvas, is the word 'become', which is also the title.

There's probably a reason nobody tries to code these accursed things by hand. God. I'll make it better later.
